1. "What happens if you are
doing my wedding and your equipment breaks?"
Fortunately, at Sound Investment most of our equipment is relatively
new, so equipment failure is unlikely. About every 2 years we
upgrade the most important parts of our sound systems in the attempt
to avoid failure. If you book a wedding or other event with Sound
Investment, we always carry an extra amplifier, mixer and 2 backup
CD players, plus an emergency repair kit that contains fuses,
cords and other repair items. We still hear stories from Banquet
Halls about DJs whose equipment wasn't working and they tried
to "patch in to" the Hall's sound system to save the
day. Sound Investment is the only DJ service that carries backup
emergency equipment equal to our Main Systems, to insure that
the dancing continues at your wedding, no matter what.

"What do Sound Investment DJs wear at a wedding?"
Sound
Investment DJs wear a business suit or tuxedo, it's your choice.
In some extreme cases like doing "theme" weddings (Renaissance,
Hawaiian, yes... we do them!), we are asked to dress up in the
theme for the event.

"What time will the DJ arrive at the reception to start setting
up his equipment?"
Sound
Investment DJ Service will arrive 60-90 minutes prior to the start
of your wedding to begin setting up the sound system. In some
cases, we hire a "roadie" to set up equipment when your DJ is
coming from another wedding and may not have time to do the initial
setup and equipment test. We really prefer that the DJ set up
his own equipment because he is the one who uses it every weekend
and knows the limitations and parameters of it.

"How far will Sound Investment travel to entertain at my event?"
Sometimes,
as DJ's it's Exciting to travel Out-of-State to do an Event. We
will go almost anywhere for a good time and bragging rights. At
Sound Investment our POLICY is "One Wedding Per DJ Per Day".
This policy means that Wherever and Whenever your event is, your
DJ is COMMITTED TO YOUR EVENT - At Sound Investment, we book weddings
on a first come, first serve basis. The furthest we have ever traveled
for a wedding? ...Philadelphia, PA.; New London; Great Barrington,
MA.; Manhattan, Brooklynn, NY; Killington, VT. There may be a small
Travel Charge involved.
5.
" Can Sound Investment provide ceremony music at the reception
hall?"
Yes.
Did we tell you about our Audio Visual Rental Company yet? Sound
Investment owns an A/V Rental and Production Company that has
a Special Wireless, Battery-Powered Sound System with Lavaliere
Microphones specifically for Wedding Ceremonies. Because it's
Wireless there's no cables or power cords in any of your Wedding
Pictures and ALL of your Ceremony Guests (Including older family
members) can hear your vows. We can also play your Ceremony music
on the Main System and have the Wireless System receive it - up
to 3 blocks away! This is real "Pro-Grade" equipment that other
DJs simply can't afford. Speaking of Ceremony Music, make sure
you visit our 50,000 Song, Online Music Library which contains
Ceremony samples that you can listen to right now. Sound Investment
can provide ceremony music whether you get married at the reception
hall, in the back yard or at the Church, it's not a problem. If
you already have an idea as to what music you want played when
you walk down the aisle, let us know and we will be happy to do
it!!

"If we lose power during our event, does Sound Investment
have a Generator?"
Yes,
we do offer you a portable power solution for a nominal charge.
Our 3,500 Watt generator can easily handle a sound system and
light show and maybe even a coffee pot or two! Please ask about
adding this feature to your package.
7.
"Do you hand out Props or Giveaways at our Event?"
As
a rule, No. Props are normally included only in our Bar/Bat Mitzvah
Packages. If you are having another type of Event and want Props
you would have to add them to your Package. If you are interested
in securing Props and Giveaways for your Event you can purchase
them at a DISCOUNT from our Online
Store, "Sound
Investment Makes Parties". Some clients have even provided
their own Props and asked us to hand them out, which is Okay too.
8.
"Are you Insured?"
Most
venues that we play at do not require Liability Insurance. But,
for those rare occasions that we may need it we're covered, which
means that you're covered too.
When all the other area DJ companies carry the Standard One Million
Dollar Coverage (If they're insured at all!) Sound Investment
goes beyond that to 2 Million Dollars - The HIGHEST
of any DJ around!
9.
"What type of Music Do You Play?"
Probably
the most-asked Question we are asked everyday. Our Answer? "What
Do You Want Us to Play?". It's YOUR CHOICE! Pick your own
music, let us do it for you or perhaps a Combination of the two?
